Ms. Rose is a college counselor and a writing instructor. In addition to teaching effective and creative writing courses at all levels, she served as a Writing Center Director at Muhlenberg College, PA. and at Eckerd College, FL, for the Writing Excellence Program. She spent a decade teaching Senior IB English, essay writing, and the college application process for at Palm Harbor University High School.
Helping students craft persuasive essays that open doors to their futures is her passion. She has helped students earn admission to Yale University, Harvard University, University of Florida, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, University of Pennsylvania, Columbia University, Brown University, Georgetown University, Johns Hopkins University, Carnegie Mellon University, University of Tampa, Georgetown University, Brandeis University, and Massachusetts College of Art and Design, and many other dream schools. After graduating from college, her students frequently return for help gaining acceptance to graduate schools, law schools, and medical schools.
Mr. Rose received her MA in English and her MFA in Fiction Writing at Penn State University. In addition to IB English, she is certified in AP English Literature and AP English Language. Working for the International Baccalaureate Program, she worked with students from around the world, and was herself an IB student as a child living in Ghana and Indonesia.
Ms. Rose is also an award-winning author, dog trainer, and stunt dog performer. She incorporates positive reinforcement into her writing instruction to foster confidence, originality, and high drive toward excellence.
