Mr. Rice

Mr. Rice is a seasoned international teaching professional who joined Haddee in 2022 and has helped dozens of students improve their research, critical thinking, and essay construction. He now wo ks as an online academic coach, professional writer, independent writing teacher, and college education consultant.

Mr. Rice has a BA in Humanities, majoring in Creative Writing, in addition to a Postgraduate Certificate in Education with the University of Nottingham. More importantly, Mr. Rice has fifteen years of experience working across the world with students of all ages. He has taught in diverse curricula such as Common Core, AP, International Baccalaureate, Cambridge, American College level, and CEFR language teaching. Mr. Rice has worked in several departments during this career, including English language arts, ESOL support, Sheltered instruction, and IB curriculum design for language acquisition.

He has also worked extensively with developing students’ college applications, and he has written many reference letters, with students finding placements in universities worldwide.

Originally from England, Mr. Rice has taught in China, Vietnam, the USA, Egypt, and Qatar in his teaching career, though he now resides in Spain where he is a freelance writer, business linguistic consultant, and online educator, helping students master academic and creative writing, study success skills, and career development. Mr. Rice has traveled extensively, spending almost half his teaching career in east Asia, where he worked closely with Chinese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Japanese students.

He understands how overwhelming international further education is for both students and parents, and he wishes to help you be prepared for each step of the way. Mr. Rice’s philosophy is that if we can get students onto their career path earlier, they will have every chance of happiness and success as they grow older. He believes that productive, content students make for better societies.
