Dr. Montes

Dr. Montes has a PhD in Higher Education and has been working in higher education for most of her adult life. The early part of her career was spent working for various colleges in the United States and Canada.

In the past 10 years she worked in local communities helping high school students prepare and apply to colleges. She ran a scholarship program and worked with 30-40 college students per year for 5 years. She was in charge of processing scholarships but also advising students while in the program. Dr. Montes ran the education department for a tribe for 5 years and helped students in middle though high school prepare for college, take the right courses and fill out applications.

As a university advisor, she also helped countless numbers of students in their programs. In a college outreach program, She walked many students through the admissions process. And as a writing tutor in college, she helped many students with college level writing. She also helped many undergraduate college students apply for graduate school.

She has two young sons herself, both of whom went to prestigious institutions (one private and one public). With her help, her boys were accepted to 19 combined colleges and universities.

Dr. Montes lives in California and is very familiar with the college systems in the state and out. She is passionate about demystifying the college planning and application process and looks forward to helping you.
